Policies and Guidelines

The following policies and guidelines have been adopted at Elder Mews, and should be adhered to by all residents and owners. Click on any of the following to find out more.

• Conservation and development. This includes both projects undertaken by the Board of Directors, and those undertaken by owners. This document is under review.

• Development guidelines. These provide a framework for development for both owners and the Board of Directors so that the cottages are in line with twenty first century living. This document is under review.

• Paint colours. These ensure a uniform appearance of all cottages.

• Pet friendly policy and guidelines. Elder Mews provides a pet friendly environment. These guidelines are designed to ensure that pets do not inconvenience other occupants.

• Short-term rental guidelines. Owners considering renting rooms within Elder Mews cottages under short term rental arrangements, in compliance with the Encumbrance, must apply to the Board of Directors for approval.

• Gardens. Owners are personally responsible for the maintenance of their front garden and rear courtyards. The Board has oversight of gardens in the common area.
